Dap Dippin' with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings is Jones's first full length recording. Though a few hundred copies were pressed to sell on the road, it would take several months and the birth of a new record label before Dap-Dippin would be commercially released on Daptone records. Not a series of unrelated songs, but a string of winners, plucked out by a bona fide soul revue backing up dynamite desco alumnus Sharon Jones.
