The second volume in the trilogy of the history of Jamaican recordings.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Jamaican Recordings label we have collaborated with reggae historian and writer, Noel Hawks, in producing a trilogy of books detailing the growth of the Jamaican Recording Industry told through the various studios where the music was made and manufactured.
This fascinating story has been assembled after exhaustive, and extensive research and includes interviews with many of the key players from defining periods in the history of reggae music.
Jamaican Recordings is presented in three volumes followed by 'Rock Steady to Rockers' from Treasure Isle to Channel One. Volume three from 'Upsetter to computer' From the Black Ark to Firehouse.
